MR. RICHARD WILLIAMS.
ADELAIDE, Monday.
Mr. Richard Williams, father of Air Commodore Williams, chief of the
Royal Australian Air Force, died at his residence, Rose Park, yesterday,
after a few days' Illness. He was born at Redruth, Cornwall, 64 years
ago.

AIR CHIEF'S FATHER DIES
Son flies From Melbourne For Funeral Mr. Richard Williams, father of
Air-Commodore R. Williams, Chief of the Air Staff, died suddenly on
Sunday at Rose Park. The Air-Commodore flew from Melbourne yesterday
afternoon. Mr. Williams was 84 years old, and came to Australia from
Cornwall. For many years he was an engine driver in the Moonta district.
He married Miss Emily Hodge, daughter of the late Mr. John Hodge, of
Moonta, in 1889, and has left a widow and family consisting of
Air-Commodore Richard Williams, Messrs. Donovan and Melville Williams,
Rose Park, Mrs. S. S. Underhill, Clarence Park, Mrs. J. H. Hillier,
Tusmore, and Misses Ruby Williams and Dorothy Williams, Rose Park. Mr.
Williams will be buried today in Moonta Cemetery.

OBITUARY
The death occurred somewhat suddenly of Mr. Richard Williams, at
Grant-avenue, Rose Park, on Sunday. Born at Redruth, Cornwall, in 1865,
he came to Australia as a boy. Mr Williams was well known in the Moonta
district, where for many years he was engaged as an engine driver. He
was married to Miss Emily Hodge daughter of Mr. John Hodge, of Moonta,
in 1889, and has left a widow and family consisting of Air Commodore
Richard Williams, of Melbourne (who arrived in Adelaide by aeroplane
yesterday afternoon), Messrs. Donovan and Melville Williams, Rose Park;
Mrs. S. S. Underhill, Clarence Park; Mrs. J. A. Hillier, Tusmore, and
Misses Ruby Williams and Dorothy Williams, Rose Park.
