1214 Commercial street, at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon. Following a brief
talk by the Rev. Varney, of the First Baptist church, the Masonic
bodies, of which deceased was a member, will take charge of the

Mr. Trezise was a pioneer of the Pacific coast. Born in England in 1828,
he came to America when 13 years old, settling first in Michigan and
emigrating to California later with the gold excitement of 1849. After
two years of gold seeking in California, he joined a rush of miners to
Australia, thence returning in 1856 to his boyhood home in England.
After remaining in England for two years, he again located in Michigan.
In 1860 he was married to Elizabeth Pryor, of Galena, Ill. He became
superintendent of the Minnesota mine, one of the largest copper
properties in the United States, which place he held for some time. He
had lived in this city a number of years.
