THOMAS J. ROWE
Thomas J. Rowe, 78, died Wednesday at St. Vincent’s hospital from a heart ailment.
Mr. Rowe was born in Liskeard, Cornwall, England, October 18, 1869. He came to Oregon when he was 20 years old, got a job as a plumber and kept at it until 1932, when he retired. Mr. Rowe was one of the early members of the East Side Business Men’s club. He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Portland and the Auld Lang Sine society.
On November 24, 1898 he married Iva Sunderland. They had two children, J. Milton Rowe, who is in business in Portland, and Ellen Rowe Fletcher, who is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaya. Mrs. Rowe preceded her husband in death.
The funeral service will be at 3 P.M. Monday at the A. J. Rose & Son chapel. Vault entombment will be at Portland Crematorium.
