Joseph Rodda Died Last Evening
Last evening at 10 o’clock the death of Joseph Rodda at the family residence on Washington avenue. He had suffered from miner’s asthma for a long time and succumbed to that malady last evening. He had lived in this vicinity for many years and was highly respected in the community. Mr. Rodda was born in Cornwall, England, in the year 1864 and was therefore 45 years of age. A wife and three children survive him. The children are Grace, Joseph and Harry. Deceased was a son of Mrs. Joseph Rodda of Luzerne borough. Three brothers and two sisters also survive him, who are as follows: Samuel, William and Fred, and Mrs. Samuel Hendershot, of Luzerne, and Mrs. John Davis of Larksville. He was also a cousin of Sheriff Fred Rodda.
The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed. The funeral announcement will be made in the Times-Leader to-morrow evening.
