LOCAL AND GENERAL
The death occurred at Masterton, yesterday, of Mr James Ralph, a
resident of Waimongaroa (Westport), who had been on a visit to this town
for the purpose of securing medical treatment for an internal ailment
from which he had been suffering for the past twelve months. The
deceased, who was a brother of Mr S. H. Ralph, of Masterton, was born in
Cornwall (England) forty-eight years ago, and came out to the colony
when a young man of eighteen years of age. He leaves a widow and family
of nine, three sons and six daughters.
