MICHIGAN MINER KILLED IN MINE
Thomas Pascoe of Ironwood Meets Death When Huge Rock Falls on Him.
IRONWOOD, Mich., Jan. 17.—Thomas Pascoe, one of the oldest miners of the
range was instantly killed late this afternoon on the seventeenth level
of B. shaft, Norte mine. He and his partner were working on the second
sub above the level.
They had blasted and were engaged in drilling blockholes when a large
chunk fell from the back wall, breaking through the timbers pinning
Pascoe beneath the debris. Mr. Pascoe is 60 years old and was born in
Cornwall, England. He was a resident of the city for 20 years, and is
survived by his widow and four children. They are: Thomas, jr., of
Detroit; Mrs. R. J. Mollard, Mrs. Richard Rowe and Miss Marie, of
Ironwood.
