The Empire, Monday 21 March 1864 On Tuesday week last a fine young man name Nicholls
lost his life at Araluen, by the falling in of a tunnel which he and two
of his mates were engaged in digging. Deceased was a native of Cornwall,
and his brother was killed in Victoria some time ago by a similar
