DEATH OF MRS. MUTCHLER
Mrs. Katherine Mutchler, wife of Tax Collector John Mutchler, passed
away at an early hour this morning after a prolonged illness of stomach
trouble, aged 34 years. Besides her husband she is survived by one son,
William, aged 7, and one daughter, Jennie, aged 9; three brothers,
Harry, Sydney and William Buckingham, and two sisters, Mrs. Reed Close
and Miss Maud Buckingham.
Mrs. Mutchler had been in poor health for nearly three years and was
compelled to spend much of her time at home. Until prevented by illness
she was active in the work of Elm Congregational Church. She was well
known throughout the borough and other places, and was highly esteemed
by her friends for her kindly ways and Christian fortitude.
She was born in Cornwall, England, and came to this country with her
parents, both of whom are now deceased, settling first in New Jersey.
Two years later the family came to Plymouth, residing here since.
The funeral announcement will be made later.
