Miner Killed
VIRGINIA, October 31st.—A man named Morrish, a native of Cornwall, England, met with a fatal accident at the Chollar mine this morning. He went down in the cage with two other men, but was not sufficiently quick in jumping off on the level before the cage again started. He went to jump out, but the cage commenced to ascend, and he got caught between the cage and the beams and was smashed to death.
