The Tram Conductor’s Find—During last week further investigations were made by Senior-sergeant Brennan and Constable Pattinson, of North Sydney, regarding the man Frederick Michell, who was found under somewhat painful circumstances at Gore Hill on Saturday week. It will be remembered that a tramway conductor on the previous day discovered a bag containing £350, which was subsequently claimed by Michell. From information obtained by the police it appears that the man, who is a native of Cornwall, was a miner in the Bingara district, and made periodical visits to Sydney. Owing to his strange behaviour Michell was removed to the reception-house at Darlinghurst, where the treatment has so benefited him that in all probability he will be allowed his liberty to-day. His illness is attributed to a fit, with which he is believed to have been seized while in the North Sydney district.
