LANYON. - The friends of Miss Jane Lanyon will learn with sincere regret of her death on Thursday evening last, after a severe illness, at the age of 79 years. Deceased resided at St. Just Point for 26 years, and was born in Cornwall, and came to Bendigo in the early fifties. The funeral took place on Saturday morning last for interment in the Bendigo Cemetery. The cortege was largely attended by many friends and relatives. The casket, which was covered with choicest flowers, was carried to the grave by Messrs. Geo. Ellis, E. Ellis, E. Shattock, E. Henry. the Rev. W. Cannam held a service in the home and also conducted the burial. Mr. W. Farmer had charge of the funeral.
