OBITUARY
FREDERICK J. JACOBS
The death of Frederick J. Jacobs, 492 Hazle street, occurred last night following several weeks’ illness of complications. Mr. Jacobs was 73 years of age. He was born at Cornwall, England, and came to this country at the age of 19 years. Since his arrival in this country he was a resident of this section. He was employed by the Lehigh and Wilkes-Barre Coal Company until twelve years ago when he was forced to give up his work because of ill health. He was a member of the Parrish Street M. E. Church.
Besides his wife he is survived by the following children: Frederick, Jr., John, Charles, Henry, Willis, Mrs. Charles Baker, Mrs. J. E. Vargo, Mrs. H. L. Mertin and Thomas, the latter manager of the Square Garage. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Robert, of Oshawa, Canada; Charles, of Angel’s Pass, Cal.; George, of Lake Superior; Thomas, of Cornwall, England; Lizzie and Mary Jane, of Cornwall, England. Funeral announcement will be made later.
