Mr Joseph Hollow, an old resident of Golden Gate, died at the hospital on Thursday night last (says "Croydon Mining News" December 2). He was 78 years of age. He was brought in from the Gate at the beginning of the week in a very weak condition. Prior to coming to Croydon, Hollow had been mining on Charters Towers and other northern fields. He was born in Cornwall.
