FALL PROVES FATAL TO MRS. EMMA HOGAN
Aged Resident of Rockford Succumbs to Injuries Sustained in Fall Five
Weeks Ago.
Mrs. Emma Hogan, widow of the late Frank Hogan, passed away at 2 o’clock
this afternoon at Rockford hospital, injuries received in a fall five
weeks ago at her home at 924 Woodlawn avenue, being the cause of her
demise. At the time of the accident, Mrs. Hogan fractured her hip.
Deceased was born in Cornwall, England, eighty-six years ago. She came
to Rockford in 1849. One daughter, Mrs. Frank Avery, residing at 924
Woodlawn Avenue, survives.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed this afternoon.
