OBITUARY
Mrs. Hay, of Fourth-avenue, Mellor Park, who died recently, was in her
98th year. She was born at Truro, Cornwall, and was one of Florence
Nightingale’s nurses serving throughout the Crimean war. She sailed for
Australia in 1863, and on arrival here married Dr. Hay, who was the
doctor on the ship. He conducted a practice in Melbourne for many years,
and about 34 years ago when he relinquished it he and his wife came to
live at Mellor Park. Dr. Hay died about 10 years ago. There are three
children—Mr. Walter Hay (South Africa), Mrs. J. King (Western
Australia), and Miss C. A. Hay (Mellor Park).

FUNERAL NOTICES
HAY.—The friends of the late Mrs. Amelia Hay are respectfully informed
that her Funeral (motor) will leave her late residence, Fourth-avenue,
Mellor Park, on Saturday, at 12 noon, for the Cheltenham Cemetery.
