OBITUARY
Mr. Thomas B. Harris, who recently retired from the Lands Department,
died on Saturday at his home in Byron street, Moonee Ponds. Mr. Harris,
who was aged 65 years, was a native of Cornwall, England. He came to
Victoria from New Zealand in 1889, and joined the Lands Department as a
draughtsman. For several years he was in charge of the lands office in
Sale and for 17 years he was in charge of the Bendigo branch of the
department. He leaves a widow and adult family. The funeral will be held
to-day at 2.30 p.m. at Fawkner Cemetery.
