CHARLES HARDING KILLED
HIT BY BUCKET IN SHAFT
Special Dispatch to the Standard.
Phillipsburg, Jan. 28.—Charles Harding, a well-known miner of this city,
was killed this morning in the shaft of the Tussle Mining company, near
Royal. He was hit on the head by a descending bucket. Coroner Power left
at noon to hold an inquest. Full details of the accident have not yet
been learned. Harding was a member of the local Knights of Pythias
lodge, and was about 40 years old. He was born in Cornwall, England, and
leaves a little girl about 11 years of age.
