Mr. Joseph Ham, one of Gympie’s oldest identities, passed away on
Tuesday (our Gympie correspondent advised yesterday). He was a native of
Cornwall, and came to Australia in 1845. The late Mr. Ham, who was in
his 79th year, and came to Gympie in November, 1867, leaves a widow, two
sons and six daughters. The funeral, which took place this morning, was
largely attended.
