CONCERNING PEOPLE
Mrs. Hackett, wife of Mr. Walter Hackett, of Brighton, died on Saturday at the age of 66 years. She was born near Penzance, Cornwall, and arrived with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. James Curnow, at Sydney in 1841. Three years later the family came to South Australia. In 1863 Miss Curnow married Mr. Hackett, and for 25 years had resided at Brighton. She is survived by her widower, six sons (including Messrs. E. & W. Hackett, of Rundle street), and a daughter. One of the sons died last year. Many years ago Mrs. Hackett was connected with the old Congregational Church in Freeman street, now used by Messrs. A. Simpson and Son as a factory.
