Miner Killed At Eureka
Richard Champion, carman at the Eureka Con. mine, Eureka, was instantly
killed November 18. He was running a car-load of waste to the shaft on
the second level below the surface and by some mismanagement, fell
headlong down the shaft with the car, a distance of 700 feet, producing
instant death. Deceased was a native of Cornwall, England, 55 years of
age.
