Tuesday 27 June 1911 The funeral of the late Mr. Walter Bolitho took place yesterday to the Bendigo Cemetery, moving from his late residence, Allingham-street, Golden-square. It was largely attended, a number of members of the Church of Christ Bible School marching in front of the hearse. Numerous floral tributes were received, including artificial wreaths and domes from the employees of the North Red White and Blue mine and the Church of Christ Bible School. The coffin-bearers were Messrs. H. Casley, V. Barrard, M. Eadie, and D. Chirgwin. A short service was held at the house by Mr. T. J. Cook, who also officiated at the grave, he being assisted by Mr. W. Hattwell and Dr. J. Cook. Messrs. Fizelle and Mulqueen carried out the funeral arrangements. Contributed by Bob Bolitho |
