12 February 1898 Mrs. Susan Blake passed away at her home west of the city yesterday morning. Deceased was born in Cornwall, England, May 9, 1827. In 1856 she came to this country from Quebec, then went to Rockford, and at last settled here, in Flora, 23 years ago. Seven children survive. They are Mrs. Ernest Menter, Mrs. Sylvester Rowley, and James, Charles, George, Frank and Fred Blake, all of this locality. The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p. m. from the house.
