Obituary
The death has occurred of Councillor Charles Rowe Bassett, aged 69 years. Councillor Bassett, who was born at Penrith, Cornwall, came to Australia when four years old. With his brother he selected land at Laen 48 years ago, and had resided there until his retirement a few years ago.
