MRS. JOHN ALLEN
Will be Laid at Rest Thursday Afternoon in West Side Cemetery.
 
The funeral of Mrs. John Allen will be held Thursday afternoon from the home, 620 Cherry Street, Rev. F. D. Sheets officiating.
 
Mrs. Allen’s death, which occurred about 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon was due to paralysis. She was born in Cornwall, England, in 1817, where she was married in 1845. In 1849 she came to the United States and to Rockford with her husband. She is survived by a husband and three children, John C., Harry and Mrs. Fred Wheat.
