The Will of George Michell, dated 2 May 1746In the name of God Amen I George Michell of the parish of Zennor in the County of Cornwall Yeoman being aged and weak of Body but praised by Almighty God of a perfect and well Disposeing Memory do make and Ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following First I Bequeath my Soul to God when it shall please him to call me out of this Vaile of Misery and my Body to a Christian Burial. Item I Give and Bequeath unto Elizabeth my Beloved Wife the sum of Three Pounds a year to be paid her out of my Tenement in Cornellow dureing her Natural life by Quarterly Payments by my Executors hereafter named and also my Bed and Bedding that I Lyeth in dureing her Natural life. Item I Give and Bequeath unto Elizabeth Michell my Eldest Daughter the sum of Two Pounds to be paid her in Two Years next after my Decease by my Executors hereafter named. Item I Give and Bequeath unto Jane Michell my Second Daughter the sum of Two pounds to be paid her in Too Years next after my Deceased by my Executors hereafter named. Item I Give and Bequeath unto Jackett Michell my Third Daughter the Sum of Two pounds to be paid her in Two Years next after my Decease by my Executors hereinafter named. Item I Give and Bequeath unto Margritt Michell my Fourth Daughter the Sum of Two pounds to be paid her in two years next after my Decease by my Executors hereafter named. Item I Give and Bequeath unto my son John Michell the Sum of Ten Pounds to be paid him at the Age of One and Twenty by my Executors hereinafter named in Cause? he dyeth before then my Executors is to be Clear, and to find him meat and cloathing till he be able to gitt it himselfe. Item I Give and Bequeath unto George Michell my Eldest Son Three of my Pewter platters and one silver soon and One Brass pan of his own choosing. All the rest of my Goods and Chattells not formerly Give and Bequeathed I Give and Bequeath unto George Michell my Eldest Son and Samuel Michell my second son whom I do make and appoint to be my Joynt Executors of this my last Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal this this Second Day of May in the Year of our Lord God 1746.
