The Will of John Pascoe, dated 26 February 1748
In the Name of God amen I John Pascoe of
the
parish of St. Wenn in the County of Cornwall Yeoman being Sick and
weake of Body But of Sound and perfect mind and memory praised by
God for the Same do make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament
in manner and forme following.
First of all I Command my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my
Glorious Creator hoping for Salvation in and through the meritts
of Jesus Christ Gratious Redeemer and my Body to a decent
Christian Buriall at the disertation of my Execurix hereinafter named.
I Give unto my Dearly Beloved Mother Margaret Pascoe two-
Guineas of Gould or two pounds two Shillings.
I also Give unto my Sister Phillippa Pascoe five Shillings.
I also Give unto John Harris my Brother Law one Shilling.
I Give also unto my Brother Joseph Pascoe one Shilling.
All the Rest of my Goods and Chattels of what kind or nature soever
(both real and personal) I Give unto my Dear Friend and Intended
Wife Mary Long whome I make Executrix of this my last will Revoaking all
former Wills By me at any time heretofore made hereby Impowering the
Said Mary Long after my Decease to administer my Goods, call in
the debts owing to me and out of the same to pay all my Debts
and Legacyes and to find and provide unto John Son of Alec
Sinis late of Gwenope Singlewoman Sufficient Meat Drink Washing
Lodging and apparill fit and Convenient for one of his degree untill
he shall attain the full age of one and Twenty years She the said
Mary Long bringing up the said John Sinis to reasonable Education
during his Childhood and putting him to Such reasonable Labour or
Trade as She the said Mary Long shall think most proper and he
Shall be Cabable of. As Witness my hand and Seal this Twenty
Sixth day of February 1748. and then Executed and published by the
said John Pascoe after the raiseing out of the first Legacy Given to
Joseph Pascoe.

By the said John Pascoe after the rasier above
to be his last Will and Testament in prence. of us |

The before written Will of the Before named John Pascoe was
Proved in Common Forme the 10th day of March 1748. Before
the Revd. Mr. Jonathan Baron Clk, Master of Arts Surrogate
etc. and admion of all and Singular the Goods etc. of the said
deed and of all things howsoever Concerning his said Will was
Granted to the Executrix therein named (being first in due form
of Law Sworne) Saving etc.
Sum Total on the Given By Ex Exhibited £51=12s=6d.
