The Will of William Pryor, dated 4 October 1746In the Name of God Amen I William Pryor of Parish of Wendron
in the County of Cornwall Yeoman being Sick and Weak of Body but of a perfect
and Disposeing mind and memory/praise be given to Almighty God for the same/Do
make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Im---?
I Commit my soul to God who Gave it hopeing thro’ the Merrits Deads and passion
of our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to Inherit Everlasting life and my
Body I Commit to the Earth to be Decently Buryed. Then I Give and Bequeath unto
my Daughter Catherine* Roskelly the Wife of William Roskelly the Sum of
Six pounds of Lawfull Money of Great Brittain to be paid her by my Executors
herein after named within One Year after my Decease. Item I Give and Bequeath
unto my Daughter Margaret Rule the Wife of James Rule the Sum of Six pounds of
Lawfull Money of Great Britain to be paid her by my Executors herein after named
within One Year after my Decease. Item All the Rest of my Chattell Estate Tin(?)
Boundses(?)Goods and Chattells Whatsoever and wheresoever they be-which I shall
dye possessed of or be Intituled unto at the time of my Death I Give & Bequeath
to my Two Sons Simon Pryor and Anthony Pryor both of this parish of Wendron
Yeomen & their Exec’rs Adm’rs & Assigns equally between them and I do hereby
also Nominate Appoint Constitute and Ordain them the said Simon Pryor and
Anthony Pryor my Sons to be the Joint Executors of this my last will and
Testament they paying my Just Debts and Legasyes/Ratifyeing and Confirming this
and no Other In Witness Whereof I have here unto Sett my hand & Seal this fourth
Day of October in the year of our Lord God According to the Computation of the
Church of England One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Six/1746. N.B. Words in italics within brackets
