The Will of John Pellew, dated 3 March 1745

In the Name of God Amen I John Pellew of the parish of Wendron in the County of Cornwall Husbandman being Sick in Body but of a Good and Perfect Memory God be praised do hereby make Ordain and Declare this my last Will and Testament in Manner and form following that is to say First I recommend my Soul to God that gave it and my Body to the Earth to be decently Buried According to the Discretion of my Executor hereafternamed Item I Give Bequeath and Devise all my Goods Chattells Land & Tenements of what Nature or kind soever Moveable or Immovables unto Elizabeth my Wife whom I do make & Ordain my whole & Sole Executor in paying of all my Debts and Legaiyor? Revoking and makeing Void all Other Wills and Testaments Declareing this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness hereof I have sett my hand and Seal this Third Day of March 1745/6.

The abovewritten Will was Proved in Common form the 11th Febry 1746 Before the Revd Mr William Waddon Clk Mr of Arts Official etc and Admion of the Goods etc of the Dec’ed and of all things Concerning the sd Will was Granted to the Execer therein named /being first Sworn etc/ Saveing etc Inventory Exhibited.
 
The abovewritten Will is a True Coppy of the last Will & Testament of the abovenamed John Pellew dec’ed Examined and Compared with the Original this 19th Day of February 1746 by us
