Will of Petherick Bunt, dated 23 June 1859

This is the last Will and Testament of me Petherick Bunt of the parish of Warleggan in the County of Cornwall Yeoman. I give to my wife Elizabeth Bunt the sum of Twenty pounds a year to be paid yearly and every year by my Executors hereafter named during the term of her natural life should she so long continue my widow the first yearly payment thereof to commence and be payable at the expiration of my leasehold interest in Churchtown and Frosts I direct that my wife above named shall have part of my household furniture for hor use. I give to my daughter Elizabeth Bunt of lawful money of Great Britton one hundred and fifty pounds to be paid her by my Executors at the expiration of my leasshold intrust in Churchtown and Frosts. I direct that my son John Bunt and my daughter Elizabeth Bunt shall be maintained and educated at the discretion of my Trustees from the whole of my effects. I direct that all the the Tenements that I occupy be keeped and managed by the whole of my family as it have heretofore until the end of my leasehold interest in Churchtown and Frosts. All the rest residue and remainder of my farm stock goods chattels implements of husbandry and effects both real and personal wether in possession or reversion or expectancy whatsoever and wheresoever subject to the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and legacies I give divide and bequeath unto my three sons Thomas Bunt Petherick Bunt and John Bunt whom I hereby appoint Executors of this will and Testament. I appoint Thomas Courts of the parish of Cardinham and John Blewett of the parish of Warleggan Trustees until the end of my leasehold intrust in Churchtown and Frosts. In witness whereof I the said Petherick Bunt have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this twenty third day of June one thousand eight hundred fifty nine.

Signed published and delivered by the within named Petherick Bunt the Testament as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other present at the same time hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

BE IT KNOWN, that on the sixteenth day of October 1860, the last Will and Testament, hereunto annexed, of Petherick Bunt late of the Parish of Warleggan in the County of Cornwall Yeoman deceased, who died on the 12th May 1860, at Warleggan aforesaid, and who at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at Warleggan aforesaid within the District of the County of Cornwall, was proved, and registered in the said District Registry of Bodmin, attached to Her Majesty’s Court of Probate, and that the administration of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to Thomas Bunt the son and one of the Executors named in the said Will, he having been first sworn well and faithfully to administer the same, by paying the just debts of the deceased and the legacies contained in his Will so far as he is thereunto bound by law, and to exhibit a true and perfect and inventory of all and singular the said estate and effects, and to render a just and true account thereof whenever required by law so to do. Reserving a power of making the like grant to Petherick Bunt and John Bunt other sons of the said deceased and the other Executors named in the said Will when they shall respectively think proper to apply for the same.
