Will of Samuel Rowse, dated 17 December 1746

In the Name of God Amen I Samuel Rowse
of the parish of Tywardreath in the County of Cornwall Yeoman being sick and weak
of Body but of Sound & perfect Mind and Memory and Calling to mind the
Uncertainty of of this life and the Certainty of Dying do make and Ordain this
my last Will and Testament in the Maner following That is to say First
I Bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God may Maker and
Redeemer and my Body to the Earth to be Decently Buried as it shall please
my my Executor hereafter named to Appoint and touching all such
Worldly Goods and Chattells as I am possessed at the time of my Decease
or hereafter may be possessed I do give and Bequeath them in maner
and form following. First I desire that such debts as I owe or is oweing
to me be well and Truly paid. Item I do give and Bequeath unto my
Son in law John Ventris of the parish and County aforesaid Marriner One
Shilling of Lawful Money of England for the Use and Behoofe of his Daughter
and my Grand Child Jane Ventris to be paid him by and Imediately after
my decease Item all the rest of my Wordly Goods Chattells and all and
every part thereof I do give and Bequeath to my Beloved Son
Samuel Rowse whom I do make and Ordain Sole Executor of this my
last Will and Testament Revokeing and Annulling all and every
former Will or Wills and Testaments heretofore by me made In Witness
hereunto I have sett my hand and Seal this Seventeenth Day of December in the
Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Six 1746.

I do declare this to be my last
Will and Testament in presence

The above written Will was proved in Common Form the 23d Janry 1746 before the Rev. Mr.
Wm. Waddon Clk Mr. of Arts Official etc? And Admion of the Goods etc? of the said Deced
And of all things howsoever concerning his said Will was Granted to the Exct. Therein
Named being first Sworne etc?/Saving etc?

The above written Will is a true Copy of the Last Will and Testament of
The above named Samuel Rowse Deced, Examined & Compared with the
Original this 27th Day of January 1746
