Will of Joseph Grose, 4 April 1748
In the name of God Amen The fourth day of
April
1748. Joseph Grose of the Parish of Tywardreath In the County of
Cornwall
Labourer being Sick and Weak in Body but of Perfect mind and memory
Thanks be Given unto God for it therefore calling unto mind the
Mortality
Of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Dye, do
Make and ordain this my last Will and Testament. First I Recommend
my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God that have it and my Body I
Recommend to the Earth to be Buried in Descent Christian Burial at the
Discretion of my Executrix herein after mentioned and as touching
My Worldly Goods which God hath Blessed me with in this Life I Give and
Dispose of the Same in the following manner and form.
IMP. ed I Give unto my Father Joseph Grose one Shilling in money
and all my Wareing Apparil.
I Give unto my Dearly Beloved wife Mary Grose all and Singular
My Houshold Goods and Credils and do hereby make and ordain my
above said Wife to be my whole and Sole Executrix of this my Last Will
and Testament In Paying all my Debts and Legacies in one year after
my Decease as Witness my Hand and Seal the day and year above
written.

Grose deced was Proved in common Form the 22nd
July 1748 Before the Reverend. Mr. William Waddon
Clk Mr. of Arts Official etc And Admion of the Goods
etc of the Said deced and of all things howsoever
Concerning the Said Will was Granted to the Exectx
therein named being first Sworn etc and both
being first made etc Saving etc
Sum total of the Inventy. Exhibited £19. 17s. 6d
