Will of William Rowe, 10 September 1848

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me William Rowe of the Parish of Trevelga in the County of Cornwall Yeoman. First I will and direct that my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid by my Executrix hereinafter named as soon as possible after my decease wherein it is more than probable that my only son John Rowe will for ever be incapable of managing any affairs of this life or taking sufficient care of himself I commend him to the care and protection of my dear wife Mary Rowe I give direct and bequeath unto my said wife Mary Rowe All my freehold and leasehold Messuages lands tenements and hereditaments situate lying and being within the Parish of Trevelga in the County of Cornwall and also all my goods and chattels live and dead stock money and securities for money And all the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever To hold the same unto my said wife Mary Rowe her Executors Administers and assigns for ever and for her own sole use and benefit But it is my express will and I do hereby order and enjoin my said wife Mary Rowe and of my estates and premises or the rents and profits thereof to make a suitable provision for the maintenance and support of my said son John Rowe during the term of his natural life and to appoint some fit and proper person for his Guardian and Protector after her decease provided he shall survive her And I do hereby nominate consolidate and appoint my said Wife Mary Rowe sole Execturix of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I the said William Rowe the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and forty eight

IN HER MAJESTIES COURT OF PROBATE

Be it known that on the twenty ninth day of September 1859 the last will and testament annexed of William Rowe late of the Parish of Trevelga in the County of Cornwall Yeoman deceased, who died on or about the 21st August 1859 and who at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at Trevelga aforesaid with the District of the County of Cornwall was proved and registered in the said District Registry of Bodmin attached to Her Majesties Court of Probate and that the Administration of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to Mary Rowe Widow the Relict and sole Executrix named in the said will she having been first sworn well and faithfully to administer the same by paying the just debts of the deceased and the legacies contained in the will so far as she is thereunto bound by law, and to exhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said estate and effects, and to render a just and true account thereof whenever required by law so to do given at Bodmin under the seal of my Office
