Settlement Paper for Elizabeth Hambly and son

CORNWALL (to wit)
To the Churchwardens, and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Sheviock in the said County of Cornwall and to the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Luxulian in the said
County of Cornwall and to each and every of them.
Upon the Complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Sheviock aforesaid in the said County of Cornwall, unto
us whose names are hereunto set, and Seals affixed, being two of His
Majesty’s Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of
Cornwall and one of us of the Quorum, that Elizabeth Hambly and
her infant child Richard Hambly aged about two months have come to
inhabit in the said Parish of Sheviock in the said County of Cornwall
not having gained a legal Settlement nor produced any Certificate,
owning them to be settled elsewhere and that the said
Elizabeth Hambly and her said infant child are actually chargeable
to the said Parish of Sheviock aforesaid We the said Justices
upon due proof made thereof, as well upon Examination of the said
Elizabeth Hambly upon Oath, as otherwise, and likewise upon due
consideration had of the Premises, to adjudge the same to be true ; and
we do likewise adjudge that the last lawful Settlement of the said
Elizabeth Hambly and her said infant child is in the said Parish of
Luxulian in the said County of Cornwall
We do therefore require you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor in the said Parish of Sheviock in the said County of
Cornwall or some, or one of you, to convey the Said Elizabeth Hambly
and her said infant child from out of your said Parish of
Sheviock in the said County of Cornwall to the said Parish of
Luxulian and them to deliver to the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this our
Order, or a true copy thereof at the same time shewing them the Original
; and we do also hereby require you, the said Churchwardens and
Overseers of the the Poor of the said Parish of Luxulian to
receive and provide for them as Inhabitants of your said Parish
Given under our Hands and Seals, the Sixth Day of June in the ninth year
of the Reign of His said Majesty George the forth and in the Year of our
Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty eight
