The Will of Thomas Daniel, 9 April 1743
In the name of God Amen. I Thomas Daniel of the
parish of Ruanlanihorne in the County of Cornwall yeoman being in
perfect mind and memory Blessed be God therefore doe make & ordaine this
my last will and testament in manner & forme following
Iminimis I commend my soul into the hands of all mighty God being
through the merits of Jesus Christ my Blessed Saviour & Redeemer to
obtain a glorious Resurection My body I commit to the earth to be buried
at the discretion of my executor hereafter mentioned
Item I give unto my daughter Mary Odgers the sum of seven pounds two be
paid her in one year after my decease
Item I give unto my son Richard Daniel the house ware he now lives and
the garden there unto belonging excepting of the dry for my executor
woull aid in paying of four shillings a year twowards the highrent and
half of my household goods two be devided between him and my executor
Item I give unto my grand sons Nicholas Daniel and Richard Daniel twenty
shillings each
Item I give unto my grand daughters Elizabeth Odgers and Jane Odgers &
Cebela Odgers the sum of twenty shillings each two be paid in one year
after my decease
Item all the rest of my goods & chattels not before mentioned I give &
bequeath unto my son John Daniel whome I make my whole & sole executor
of all my goods & chattels of what kind and sort soever in paying or
caused two be paid all my debts and legaces & discharging of my funeral
charges in witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal this
ninth day of April one thousand seven hundred forty three
