Copy of the Will of Thomas Plummer dated 19th July 1744
In the Name of God Amen
I Thomas Plummer of the Parish of Probus in the County of Cornwall Yeoman, being
sick and weak, but of sound and disposing Mind and Memory praised be God for the
same, do hereby make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament, hereby
revoking all former wills by me made either by Word or in Writing.
And first I give and bequeath my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God hoping
through the Merritts and Passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to inherrit eternell
Life, and my Body to the Earth to be decently interred, at the Discretion of my
Execr hereinafter named.
Also I give and devize unto my Sister Mary Holman the summ of twenty Pounds to
be paid to her by my Executor hereinafter named, within two years after my
Decease, exclusive of her Husband James Holman.
Also whereas my Cosson James Andrew is legally indebted unto me in the summ of
twenty Pounds my Will is that as soon as my Said Cosson shall have paid the same
sum of twenty pounds to my Executor hereinafter named, he shall give the same
forthwith unto my Cossons Nicholas Andrew, and Constance Andrew (to wit) tenn
pounds to Nicholas, and the remaining tenn pounds to Constance.
Also I give devise and bequeath unto my Brother Matthew Plummer all my Land
Tenements and Hereditaments, commonly called and known by the Name of Pengelly,
situate and being within the parish of St Erme in the said County with its
Appurtenances, To have and to hold the same unto the said Matthew Plummer and
his assigns for and during his naturall Life, and no longer and from and after
the Death and Decease of the Said Matthew Plummer my Said Brother, then I give
and devise the said Tenement called Pengelly unto Isaack the Son of my Said
Brother Matthew Plummer, to hold the same unto the said Isaack Plummer and his
Assigns for and during his naturall Life, and no Longer, and from and after the
Deaths and Deceases of them the said Matthew Plummer and Isaack his Son, then I
give the same unto my Brother William Plummer, his Heirs and Assigns, to hold
the same unto the said William Plummer his Heirs and Assigns forever.
Also I give and devise unto my Said Brother Matthew Plummer, All my Right Title
Interest & Term of years which I now have in a certain Messuage and Tenement
commonly called the Well Close Tenement situate in Levarder within the Parish of
Probus in the same County, To hold the same unto the said Matthew Plummer his
Execrs, Admrs and Assigns during all the Estate and Interest I have therein.
Lastly all the rest of my Goods, Chattles and personall Estate not hereinbefore
given and devised (after payment of my just Debts Legacys and funerall Expences)
I give and devise unto my Brother Matthew Plummer whom I hereby make and ordain
whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I
the said Thomas Plummer have to this my last Will and Testament putt my Hand and
Seal this nineteenth Day of July One Thousand seven hundred and fortyfour.

The beforewritten Will of the beforenamed Thomas Plummer was
proved in common Form before the Reverend Mr William Waddon Clerk Master of Arts
Official etc the 27th November 1747, and Admion of all and Singular the Goods
etc of the said deced and of all things howsoever concerning the said will was
granted to the Executor therein named (being first sworne etc, Saving etc)
No Invty exhibited.
The beforewritten Will of the said Thomas Plummer is a true copy examined and
compared with the Originall this third Day of Decr 1747 by us
