Mary Webb Examination 1783
Cornwall To Witt
The voluntary Examination of Mary Webb of the Parish of
Probus in the said County single woman taken on Oath
before me one of his Majesty’s Justices of the Peace of
and for the said County the 19th Day of April in the
year of our Lord 1783.
This Examinant on her Oath saith that she is with Child,
and the said Child is likely to be born a Bastard, and
to be chargeable to the Parish of Probus aforesaid and
the said Mary Webb doth charge John Blake late of the
Parish of Kenywn in the said County Tinner with having
gotten the said Child on her Body with which she is now
pregnant.
