Bond to indemnifie the parish of Probus from a bastard child
 
Know all men by these presents that we James Harris of the parish of Saint Stephens in Brannell in the County of Cornwall Taylor and Thomas Roberts and John Parsons both of the said parish of Saint Stephens Tinners and every and either of us are held and firmly bound unto Richard Bone and Benjamin Seccombe Matthew Andrew and Daniell Buckingham Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Probus in the said County of Cornwall Gentlemen in the sum of Thirty Pounds of good and lawfull mony of Great Britain to be paid to the said Richard Bone and Benjamin Seccombe Matthew Andrew and Daniell Buckingham or to their Certain Attorny their Executors Administrators or Assigns to which payment well and truly to be made we oblige ourselves and every and either of us by himself for ?-------- our and every and either of our Heirs Executors and Administrators firmly by these presents. Sealed with our Seals Dated the Tenth Day of September in the Eleventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France ?--------- King Defender of the faith and so forth and in the year of Our Lord One Thousand ?---- Hundred and Thirty Seven
 
Whereas Jone Watters of the Parish of Probus in the County of Cornwall widow hath voluntarily confessed that she is now with Child of a Bastard Child or Children which Child or Children when born is likely to be chargeable to the said parish of Probus Now the Condition of the above ?provision is such that of and in case the said James Harris Thomas Roberts and John Parsons their Heires Executors or Administrators or any of them do from time to time and at all times hereafter fully and ?clearly discharge and save harmless as well the above named Richard Bone Benjamin Seccombe Matthew Andrew and Daniell Buckingham Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Probus and their successors for the time being and every of them as well all the Inhabitance and Parishioners of the said Parish of Probus which now are or hereafter shall be for the time being and every of them of and from all and all manner of Costs Charges and Expences whatsoever which shall or may in any manner of wise at any time hereafter arise happen come grow or be imposed upon them or any of them for or by reason or means of the birth education nourishing and bringing up of the said Child or Children and of and from all other Actions Suits Charges Troubles Impeachments and Demands whatsoever touching and concerning the same then the said obligation to be void or else to be and remain in full force and virtue
