Mr Richd Rosevear to the Parish of Probus
Bond for Maintenance of Jane Truscotts Base Child
Know all Men by these Presents that I Richard Rosevear
of the Parish of Tywardreath in the County of Cornwall
Gentleman am held and firmly bound unto Hugh Hotten and
William Trescowthick Churchwardens of the Parish of
Probus in the County of Cornwall aforesaid and Henry
Doble and Peter Yeoman Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish (in Trust for the Inhabitants of the said Parish)
in the sum of one Hundred Pounds of lawfull Money of
Great Britain to be paid to them the said Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor or either of them their or
either of their Successors for the time being, or their
Executors or Administrators for which said Payment well
and truly to be made I bind myself my Heirs Executors
and Administrators and each and every of them firmly by
these Presents. Sealed with my Seal Dated this
Twentyfirst Day of February in the year of our Lord One
Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventysix
The Condition of the Obligation is such That Whereas
Jane Truscott Singlewoman was lately delivered of a Base
Male Child within the Parish of Probus aforesaid which
child is likely to become chargeable to the said Parish
If therefore the said Richard Rosevear his Executors or
Administrators do and shall from time to time and at all
times hereafter clearly and fully acquit discharge and
save harmless as well the said Churchwardens and
Overseers and their Successors for the time being as
also all other the Inhabitants and Parishioners of the
said parish which now are or hereafter shall be for the
time being and every of them of and from all and all
Manner of Costs Charges Trouble or Incumbrances
whatsoever for or by reason of the Birth Education
Maintenance Nourishing or bringing up of the said base
Male Child of which the said Jane Truscott have been
lately delivered and of and from all Actions Suits
Charges and Demands whatsoever touching or concerning
the same that then this present Obligation shall be void
and of no Effect otherwise remain stand and be in full
force and virtue
