Know all men by these presents that we Henry Edwards of the parish of Probus in the County of Cornwal Miller and John Tregilgas of the parish of Merther and County aforesaid Thatcher are held and firmly bound unto John Dunken and Matthew Truscott Church Wardens and unto Matthew Roberts and John Arthur Overseers of the Poor of the said parish of Probus and unto their Successors for the time being in the full sum of thirty pounds of Lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid to the said John Dunken Matthew Truscott Matthew Roberts and John Arthur or to any or either of them or to their certain Attorney or to their Successors for the time being for payment whereof well and truely to be made we do hereby bind ourselves our Executors and Administrators and every and either of them jointly and severally in the full sum of sixty pounds of like lawfull money of Great Brittain firmly by these presents. In Wittness whereof we have hereunto sett our hands and seals this twenty second day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty.
 
The Condition of this present obligation is such that whereas Grace Tregilgas of the said parish of Probus has voluntarily confessed that she is now with child of a bastard child or children which child or children when born is likely to become chargeable to the said parish of Probus If therefore the said Henry Edwards and John Tregilgas their Executors or Administrators or any of them do and shall from time to time and at all times hereafter acquit discharge and save harmless as well the above named John Dunken and Matthew Truscott Church-wardens Matthew Roberts and John Arthur Overseers of the Poor of the said parish of Probus and their successors for the time being as also the inhabitants and parishioners of the said parish of and from all costs charges and troubles whatsoever for or by reason of the birth maintenance nourishing and bringing up of such child or children which the said Grace may bring forth and of and from all other suites charges troubles and demands whatsoever touching or concerning the same then this present obligation to be void and of no effect otherwise to remain in full force and virtue
