Mr R Dyer Bone and Mr James Dunkin
To
Mr M Truscott and Churchwardens and Overseers of Probus
Bond for the Maintainance of Ann Stannaways Base Child
Know all Men by these Presents That we Reuben Dyer Bone
and James Dunkin both of the parish of Probus in the
County of Cornwall yeomen are bound and firmly obliged
unto Mathew Truscott and William Roberts and younger
Churchwardens and James Edwards and Sampson Tresawna
Overseers of the Poor of the said parish of Probus in
the County aforesd in the sum of forty Pounds of Lawfull
money of Great Britain To be paid to the said
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
parish of Probus or either of them or to their
Successors for the time being or either of them for
which said payment well and faithfully to be made we
bind ourselves jointly and severally our Heirs Execrs
and Admrs and every of them firmly by these presents
Sealed with our Seales Dated this Eleventh day of
December in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven
Hundred and sixtytwo
The Condition of this present Obligation is such That
Whereas Ann Stannaway the Daughter of Mathew Stannaway
of the said parish of Probus singlewoman is now big with
a Child or Children which when borne will probably be a
Bastard or Bastards and lyable to become chargeable to
the said parish, If therefore they the said Reuben Dyer
Bone and James Dunkin and every of them their and every
of their Heirs Execrs and Admrs do and shall from time
to time and at all times hereafter well and truly free
acquitt and discharge save harmless and keep indemnifyed
as well the said Mathew Truscott and William Roberts the
younger James Edwards and Sampson Tresawna Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said parish of Probus
and their successors for the time being as also all
other the Inhabitants and Parishioners of the said
parish which now are or hereafter shall be and every of
them of and from all and all manner of Costs Charges
Damages Troubles and Incumberances whatsoever for or by
Reason of the Birth Lyeing Inn Nursing Education
Maintainance or bringing up of such Base Child or
Children with which the said Ann Stannaway is now big as
aforesaid and of and from all other actions Suites
Troubles Expences and demands or other matter or thing
whatsoever relateing thereto That Then this present
Obligation and everything herein contained shall be void
and of none effect otherwise shall remaine stand and be
in full force strength and virtue
