Hancocks Bond for the maintenance of Joan Annear’s base child

Know all men by these presents that we Henry Hancock of the parish of Phillack in the County of Cornwall Yeoman and Thomas Harris of the parish of Probus in the said County are held and firmly bound unto John Truscott William Rowe William Plummer and Melchisedec Hotten Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parish of Probus in the sum of fifty pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid to them the said John Truscott William Rowe William Plummer and to heirs successors for the time being or to any of them to their certain Attorny his or their Execrs Administrators Successors or Assigns which payment well and truly to make we bind ourselves our Heirs Exrs and Admrs and every and either of them jointly and severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals Dated this eighth day of December in the year of our Lord 1746
 
The Condition of the above Obligation is such That Whereas Joan Anear of the parish of Probus in the County of Cornwall singlewoman hath lately been delivered of a bastard child in the parish of Phillack in the said County but hath not named any father And whereas the said Joan Anear is removed since with her sd child (wch is a daughter) into the parish of Probus in the said County If therefore the above bounden Henry Hancock and Thomas Harris or any or either of them or any or either of their Heirs Execrs and Admrs or any or either of them do and shall from time to time and at all times hereafter fully and clearly exonerate and discharge or otherwise well and sufficiently save harmless and keep indemnified as well the abovenamed John Truscott William Rowe William Plummer and Melchisedec Hotten Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Probus aforesaid and their successors for the time being and every of them as also all the inhabitants and parishioners of the said parish of Probus which now are or hereafter shall be and every of them or and from all and all manner of Expences Damages Costs and Charges whatsoever which shall or may at any time hereafter arise happen come grow or be imposed upon them or either or any of them for or by reason or means of the Education Maintainance and bringing up the said child and of and from all other Troubles Charges Damages and Demands whatsoever concerning the same Then the present obligation to be void otherwise to remain and be in full force effect and virtue
