Return to Perranuthnoe Parish Page The Will of Jane Symons , dated 12 March 1819This is the last will and testament of me, Jane Symons, of
the parish of Perranuthnoe in the County of Cornwall. Widow being weak in body
but of sound mind and memory and understanding, thanks be given unto God for the
same. I give and bequeath to my daughter May Woolcock the wife of John Woolcock
the sum of thirty pounds within four months after my decease. I give and
bequeath to my daughter Ann, the wife of Henry Rick, the sum of thirty pounds
and two pounds towards buying a suit of mourning. I give and bequeath to my
daughter Constance, the wife of Thomas Vellenoweth, thirty pounds and my gold
ring within four months after my decease. I will and direct that the above
legacies shall be at the sole dispose of my said daughters respectively without
any controll of their husbands. I give and bequeath to my grand daughter,
Elizabeth Bond, the daughter of Elizabeth and James Bond the sum of twenty
pounds to be paid her when she attains the age of twenty one years. I give and
bequeath to my daughter Winefred, the wife of William Vellenoweth, the sum of
twenty pounds within four months after my decease. I also give and bequeath unto
my daughter Winefred, the wife of William Vellenoweth, all that leasehold
messuage? and garden situate in Perranuthnoe Church Town in which the said
Winefred now lives, to hold to her the said Winifred Vellenoweth, the wife of
William Vellenoweth, her executors, administrators, and assigns during the term
that shall be therein after my decease. I also give unto Winifred, my daughter,
the wife of William Vellenoweth, my chest of drawers. I also give and bequeath
unto my son Thomas Symons the sum of ten pounds within four months after my
decease. I give and bequeath unto my grandchildren, Jenifer John, Charles John,
and Thomas John the sum of three pounds each within four months after my
decease. Lastly all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate, goods,
chattles, rights, credits, and effects of what nature or kind soever not herein
before given and bequeathed after charging the same with the payment of my just
debts and funeral expences and the legacies hereinbefore given I give and
bequeath the same unto my sons Nicholas Symons and John Symons whom I nominate
and appoint executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all
former wills and testaments at anytime herebefore by me made and do declare this
to be my last will and testament. In witness thereof, I the said Jane Symons,
have hereunto set and subscribed my name and fixed my seal this twelth day of
