Return to Perranarworthal Parish Page The Will of James Sarah, dated 15 May 1743In the Name of God Amen I James Sarah of ye. Parish of Perranarwoothole County of Cornwall Tinner being sick and weak in Body but of perfect Mind & Memory thanks be given to almighty God and calling unto mind the Mortality of my Body and that it is Appointed for all men once to Dye do hereby make & Ordain this my last Will and Testament Rendering and making Void all other former Wills & Bequests Imprimis I Give and Bequeath unto Elizabeth my Daughter the sume of ten pounds to be paid when come to Age Item I Give & Bequeath unto Catherine my Daughter the sum of ten pounds to be paid when come to Age Item I Give unto Elizabeth my well beloved Wife the House called Deebles House together with Household Goods for use and four pounds p year to be hand unto her during her Natural Life by my Executor when come to Age if she do not marry, But if marry to have but One Shilling She my said Beloved Wife to have as is above Declared provided that she put up William my Son his life upon my Tenement in Greenwith if not to have one pound pr. Year Shortned & to have but three pounds pr. Year pd. Her Item I Give to my Brother John Sarah all my Working Days Cloaths and my Rideing Coat. Item I make & Ordain William my Son whole Executr. Of this my last Will and Testament and of all other my lands Messuages Tenements Goods and Chattells whatsoever ratifyeing and Confirming this to be my last Will and Testament. And I do hereby Appoint Thomas Sarah & Abednego Sarah and Elizabeth my Wife Trustees over my Executor my Wife Especially to be the whole Manager of the whole Effects during her Widowhood in her Settling Account with them Once a year but if marry to be off as is above declared In Witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seal this 15th day of May 1743
The beforewritten Will was proved in Common Form the 11th May 1747 Before the Revd. Mr. Wm. Waddon Clerk Mr. Of Arts Official etc and Admion of the Goods etc of the Deced and of all things howsoever concerning the said Will was Granted to the Trustees in the said Will named During the Minority of the Executor therein named / being first sworne etc / Saveing etc
