To the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Allen in the County of Cornwall and to the Church-wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of Perranarworthal
in the County aforesaid and to each and every of them.
County of CORNWALL To wit. Upon the complaint of the Church-wardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Allen aforesaid,
in the said County of Cornwall unto Us, whose names are hereunto set, and seals
affixed, being two of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace, in and for the said
County of Cornwall, and one of us of the Quorum, That Mary Ann
LANDERYOU, Widow and William aged about five years, and John aged about two
years her Children by her late Husband Peter LANDERYOU deceased have
come to inhabit in the said Parish of Saint Allen not having
gained a legal settlement there; nor produced any Certificate owning them to be
settled elsewhere; and that the said Mary Ann LANDERYOU and William and John her
Children are now actually chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Allen We, the
said Justices, upon due proof made thereof, as well upon examination of
Robert LANDERYOU Father of the said Peter LANDERYOU upon Oath, as
otherwise, upon due consideration had of the premises, do adjudge the same to be
true, and We do likewise adjudge that the lawful settlement of the said
Mary Ann LANDERYOU and William and John her said Children is in the
said Parish of Perranarworthal in the said
County We do, therefore, require you the Church-wardens and
Overseers of the said Parish of Saint Allen, or some or one of
you, to convey the said Mary Ann LANDERYOU and William and John her said
Children from and out of the said Parish of Saint Allen
to the said Parish of Perranarworthal and
them to deliver to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor
there, or to some or one of them, together with this our Order, or a true Copy
thereof, at the same time shewing to them the Original; and We do also require
you, the said Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Perranarworthal to receive and provide for
them according to Law.
GIVEN under our hands and seals, this first day of
October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and
thirty five.

To the Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Perranarworthal
in the County of Cornwall.
We the Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Allen in
the County of Cornwall, do hereby give you notice that the above named
Mary Ann LANDERYOU and William and John her children by her late husband Peter
LANDERYOU deceased have become chargeable to the Parish of
Saint Allen aforesaid and that an Order has been duly obtained for
their removal to your said Parish of Perranarworthal
as the place of their last legal settlement (a Copy of which
Order and also a Copy of the Examinations which the same Order was founded and
made are hereby sent.) – And we do also hereby further give you notice that
unless you appeal against the said Order and within 21 days from the date hereof
duly serve notice of such appeal the said Pauper will be removed to your said
Parish of Perranarworthal in pursuance of the said Order.

3. (Handwritten Examinations)
Cornwall to wit. The Examination of Grace LAMMAS of the Parish of Kenwyn
in the said County Widow touching the legal Settlement of Mary Ann the widow of
Peter LANDERYOU deceased and her two children William aged about five years and
John aged two years and upwards taken on Oath this first day of October 1835
before us two of his Majesty’s Justices of the peace for the said County –
Who upon oath saith that about eight years and a half ago the said Peter
LANDERYOU took a Tenement of this Examinant situate in the said parish of Kenwyn
called Willow Green to rent at fifteen pounds a year and occupied the same as
her Tenant for one year and a half and that when he quitted the said Tenement he
owed her about a years rent and she is quite sure that she never received from
him in the whole more than six months rent

Cornwall. The Examination of Robert LANDERYOU of the
parish of Kenwyn aforesaid Sawyer touching the Settlement of the said Mary Ann
LANDERYOU and her said Children taken on oath on the day and year above
mentioned by us the said Justices
Who upon his oath saith that he is the father of the above named Peter LANDERYOU
who was born in lawful wedlock and that this deponents legal settlement at the
time of the birth of the said Peter LANDERYOU and at this present time was and
is in the parish of Perranarworthal in the said County and that this Deponent
has been relieved by the said parish of Perranarworthal whilst he was residing
in the said parish of Kenwyn.

Michael Nowell USTICKE and John SHEEPSHANKS Clerks whose Names are
hereunto set, and seals affixed, two of Her Majesty’s Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County, and one of us of the Quorum. That
Ruth TRELEGGAN Singlewoman hath come to
inhabit in the said Parish of Gwennap not
having gained a legal Settlement there; and that the said Ruth TRELEGGAN
is now actually chargeable to the said Parish of
Gwennap – We the said Justices upon due proof thereof, as well
upon the examination of the said Ruth TRELEGGAN upon Oath, as
otherwise, upon due consideration had of the premises, do adjudge the same to be
true: and we do likewise adjudge that the lawful settlement of the said
Ruth TRELEGGAN is in the said Parish of
Perranarworthal in the said County – We do therefore
require you the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Gwennap or some or one of you to convey the
said Ruth TRELEGGAN from and out of your said Parish
of Gwennap to the said Parish of
Perranarworthal and her to deliver to the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor, there, or to some or one of them,
together with this our Order, or a true copy thereof, at the
same time showing to them the original; and We do also hereby require you the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of

To the Overseers of the Parish of Perranarworthal
in the County of Cornwall.
Take notice that the above named Ruth TRELEGGAN now residing in
this Parish is become chargeable to our said Parish of
Gwennap And that an Order of Justices has been duly made for
her removal to your Parish of Perranarworthal as
her last place of Legal Settlement; (a copy of which Order, and
also a copy of the Examination on which the same was made, are herewith sent;)
And Take Notice that unless you appeal against the said Order, and within
twenty-one days from the date hereof duly serve Notice of such appeal, the said
Pauper will be removed to your said Parish of Perranarworthal
in pursuance of the said Order.

Parish of Kea in the said County We do therefore require, you the said
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
Perranarworthal or
some or one of you to convey the said John MAY from and out of your said
Parish
of Perranarworthal to the said Parish of
Kea and him to deliver to the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor, there, or to some or one of them,
together with this our Order, or a true copy thereof, at the same time shewing
to them the Original; and We do also require of you the said Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Kea to receive and provide for
him
as an inhabitant of your said Parish.
