CORNWALL  

To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Columb Major in the County of Cornwall and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Padstow in the County of Cornwall and to each and every of them.
 
Upon the complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Saint Columb Major aforesaid, in the said County of Conrwall unto us whose Names are hereunto set and Seals affixed, being two of His Majesty’s Justices of the peace, in and for the said County of Cornwall and one of us of the Quorum, that SAMUEL BREWER and JOAN his wife have come to inhabit in the said Parish of Saint Columb Major not having gained a legal Settlement there, nor produced any Certificate, owning to be settled elsewhere; and that the said SAMUEL BREWER and JOAN his Wife are actually chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Columb Major we the said Justices, upon due proof thereof, as well upon the Examination of JOHN WHITFORD upon Oath, as otherwise, and likewise upon due consideration had of the Premises, do adjudge the same to be true; and we do likewise adjudge that the lawful Settlement of them the said SAMUEL BREWER and JOAN his Wife is in the Parish of Padstow in the said County of Cornwall. We do therefore require you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Saint Columb Major or some one of you, to convey the said SAMUEL BREWER and JOAN his Wife from and out of your said Parish of Saint Columb Major to the said Parish of Padstow and there to deliver to the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this our Order, or a true Copy thereof, at the same time shewing to them the Original; and we do hereby require you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Padstow to receive and provide for them as Inhabitants of your Parish.
 
GIVEN under our hands and seals, the tenth day of May in the third Year of the Reign of His Majesty WILLIAM the Fourth, and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Three.
