Let all men know by these presents that we SAMUEL
HARRIS Miller & ISRAEL BURMAN Husbandman and MARY HARRIS
Sister of the fore sd.
SAMUEL HARRIS & all of the Town and Parish of St.
Germains in the County of Cornwall firmly to be bound in
the full Sum of Forty pounds of good and lawful money of
Great Britain unto JOHN SPEAR and RICHARD GUY
Churchwardens and PHILLIP BREWER, HENRY CORNISH and
THOMAS EPLETT Overseers of the Poor of the Town and
Parish of Padstow in the County aforesd. and to their Successors
for the time being for the well and true payment, of
which said sum of Forty pounds to them, we do by these
presents bind ourselves and either of us our Heirs
Executos. and
administratos.
and every and either of them, witness our hands and
seals this twenty third day of March in the third year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second
over Great Britain &c. King Defender of the Faith &c.
Anno Domini 1729
The Condition of this present obligation is such, that
if the above bounden SAMUEL HARRIS ISRAEL BURMAN and
MARY HARRIS Jointly or Severally their Heirs Executos. and Administratos. or either of them do
well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the abovesd. JOHN SPEAR and RICHARD
GUY Churchwardens and PHILLIP BREWER HENRY CORNISH and
THOMAS EPLETT Overseers of the Poor of the Town and
Parish of Padstow and their successors For the time
being the sum of one shilling a week for the term of ten
years, henceforth next ensuing, for, and towards the
maintainance of a female bastard child, born of the body
of one JANE RAWLING and mentioned in an Order made by
EDMUND PRIDEAUX and JOHN PETER Esqes. two of his Majties Justices of the Peace
(Quorum anus) and every thing mentioned and contained in
the sd. order,
and according to the tenor and direction thereof (and
served on the sd.
SAMUEL HARRIS) bearing date the twenty eighth day of
this instant March that then this present obligation
shall become frustrate, null and void or else to be in
its full Strength force and vertue.
