The voluntary Examination of JENEPHER PEARSE Widow of
Padstow in the County aforesaid, taken on Oath before
Me, one of his Majesty’s Justices of the Peace, in and
for the said County this Twenty ninth Day of May in the
Year of our Lord 1766 Warrant |

To all Constables and other his Majesty’s officers of
the peace for the said County, or whom it may concern.
Whereas on the examination of JENPHER PEARSE Widow taken
this Day before me on Oath it appeared she is now with
Child of a Bastard which when born is likely to become
chargeable to the Parish of Padstow and whereas at the
Examination of the said JENEPHER PEARSE on Oath before
me she the said JENEPHER PEARSE did charge HUGH HAWKINGS
of the Parish of St. Iddey in the sd. county Labourer to
have begot the same. I have and therefore in his
Majesty’s name to Command you, or some or one of you, to
apprehend the said HUGH HAWKINGS and bring him before me
or some or other of his Majesty’s Justices of the Peace
of the said County to be Examined touching the premises,
and to be further dealt with according to law. |
