Know all Men by these Presents that I THOMAS
TREBILCOCK of the Parish of Saint Issey in the County of
Cornwall Woolcomber am held and firmly bound unto
WILLIAM MARTYN DANIEL PHILLIPPS RICHARD HITCHCOCK and
WILLIAM ANDREW Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Padstow in the County aforesaid in the
sum of forty Pounds of good and lawful money of Great
Britain to be paid to the said WILLIAM MARTYN DANIEL
PHILLIPPS RICHARD HITCHCOCK and WILLIAM ANDREW or one of
them or to their certain Attorneys their Executors
Administrators or Assigns to which Payment well and
truly to be made I bind my Self my Heirs Executors and
Administrators firmly by these Presents. Sealed With my
Seal Dated the eighteenth Day of June in the twenty
ninth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and
Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in
the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and
fifty six.
Whereas JANE HATTAM of the Parish of Padstow in the
County of Cornwall Single Woman hath lately been
delivered of a Female Bastard Child within the said
Parish of Padstow which Child is likely to become
chargeable to the Parish of Padstow aforesaid NOW the
Condition of this Obligation is such that if the above
bounden THOMAS TREBILCOCK his Heirs Executors or
administrators do and shall from Time to Time and at all
Times hereafter fully and clearly acquit free and
discharge or well and sufficiently save and keep
harmless and indemnified the above named WILLIAM MARTYN
DANIEL PHILLIPPS RICHARD HITCHCOCK and WILLIAM ANDREW
Church Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish
of Padstow aforesaid and their Successors for the time
being and every of them as also the Inhabitants and
Parishioners of the said Parish of Padstow which now are
or hereafter shall be for the time being and every of
them of and from all manner of Expenses Damages Costs
and Charges whatsoever which shall or may hereafter
arise happen grow or be imposed upon them any or either
of them for or by reason or means of the Maintenance
Education and bringing up of such Female Child and of
and from all other Actions Suits Troubles Charges
Damages and Demands whatsoever touching or concerning
the same then this Present Obligation to be void and of
none Effect otherwise to be and remain in full Force and
Vertue.
