Know all men by these presents that we THOMAS
HORSWELL and WILLIAM HORSWELL the Elder both of the
Parish of Padstow in the County of Cornwall Yeomen are
held and firmly bound unto JOHN BONE CHARLES GUY HOOPER
MARTYN and PHILLIP BUCKTHOUGHT Church-wardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Padstow in
the said County in trust for the Parishioners of the
said Parish in the sum of Twenty pounds of good and
lawful money of Great Brittain to be paid to the said
JOHN BONE CHARLES GUY HOOPER MARTYN and PHILLIP
BUCKTHOUGHT or their certain attorney their Executors
Administrators or Assigns to which payment well and
truly to be made we bind ourselves and each of us
jointly and severally and our and each and every of our
Executors and Administrators firmly by these presents.
Sealed with our seals and dated the tenth day of April
in the thirty second year of the Reign of our Sovereign
lord George the third of Great Britain France and
Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth and in
the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and
ninety two
In the margin: Additional Document Be it known to all persons whom it may concern that the within named WILLIAM HORSWELL is hereby discharged from the within Obligation and that the within named THOMAS HORSWELL is deemed and taken to be sufficient surety for the same and the said WILLIAM HORSWELL is hereby discharged from the said Obligation As witness our hands this tenth day of April One thousand seven hundred and ninety two.
