In the name of God Amen. I John Bawden
of the parish of Saint Neot in the county of Cornwall
Gentleman being in perfect health and of sound and
disposing mind memory and understanding but considering
the great uncertainty of human life do whilst I have an
opportunity make publish and declare this to be my last
Will and Testament hereby revoking all the former and
other Wills by me at any time heretofore made or
executed. And first I commend my Soul to Almighty God my
Creator humbly trusting through his mercy and the merits
and intercession of my blessed Redeemer Jesus Christ to
obtain pardon for all my sins and to inherit eternal
life and my body I commit to the earth to be decently
interred at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter
named. And as to my estate and effects I dispose thereof
as follows First my will is and I do hereby direct that
all my just debts funeral expenses and the costs and
charges of proving this my Will shall be paid as soon
after my decease as conveniently may be Also I give
devise and bequeath unto my dear wife Susanna Bawden and
her heirs and assigns for ever all and every my
messuages tenements lands hereditaments and real Estate
whatsoever and where so ever situate lying and being
whereof or wherein I am seized in fee or and estate of
Inheritance either in possession reversion or remainder
or whereof any person or persons doth or do stand seized
or possessed of in trust for me or whereof I have any
power to dispose of To hold the same unto my said Wife
Susanna Bawden her heirs and assigns for ever And all
the rest residue and remainder of my household goods and
furniture plate linen farming stock implements and
utensils of husbandry cattle crops of corn hay and grain
and growing crops of corn hay and grain ready money and
securities for money and all other my real and personal
estate and effects whatsoever and where so ever the same
may be situate at the time of my decease. I give devise
and bequeath unto my said wife Susanna Bawden her heirs
executors administrators and assigns for ever and I do
hereby nominate make constitute and appoint my said wife
Susanna Bawden Sole Executrix of this my last Will and
Testament. In witness whereof I the said John Bawden
have to this my last Will and Testament contained in one
sheet of paper set my hand and seal this sixteenth day
of January one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine.
